Top Three Walt Disney World Questions from First Time Visitors

1/28/2021

Taking Kids to Disney World
If you have never been to Walt Disney World before, we know the initial research can make you overwhelmed pretty quickly!

After a few minutes of surfing the web for some basics, you may feel like you are about to visit another PLANET.  There are so many acronyms, unique Disney lingo, and options to consider!

To get you started, here are answers to few questions we get often from our first time Walt Disney World travelers...

How much time should I spend at Walt Disney World?
You will want more time than you think.
With four unique theme parks, two water parks, and loads to do outside of the parks, you will want to budget enough time to soak in all of the magic.  Don’t stress yourself out by trying to accomplish everything too quickly.  We usually recommend a week-long stay for first-time visitors and at LEAST five days of theme park tickets.

What age is best to take my kids to Disney?
You don’t have to wait until your kids are the “perfect” age.
Disney Parks are magical for ALL ages:  babies, teens, adults.  We often hear that people want their kids old enough to “remember it.”  We get it.  When you pour that much into a vacation, you want it to be memorable for everyone!  However, even if your child is very young and won’t remember it all, YOU will never forget.   Seeing the delight and amazement on your little one’s face the first time they see Mickey Mouse or ride Dumbo is a moment that will remain with you always.

What type of Disney package do I need?
It depends, but make sure you know what you are getting.
You will need to make a few key decisions when building your Walt Disney World Vacation package.  There are dozens of Walt Disney World resorts to choose from, different ticket types, and package add-ons.  Resorts are divided into three main categories:  Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.  With each tier, you will gain more resort amenities and typically closer proximity to the theme parks.
