Steps to Planning a Walt Disney World Resort Vacation

We know it can feel overwhelming to plan a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for the first time. We have had clients describe it like they are visiting a new planet and they don’t even know what they don’t know.

So if you are new to the Disney vacation scene, let us give you the scoop on the steps you will take when working with us at Magic Expeditions.

We break the entire process down into seven basic steps.
1.  Set up a phone consult with us
Our first step is scheduling a time to chat on the phone with you. We want to hear all about your family, how you like to travel, and your hopes for this Walt Disney World vacation. Give us the details on the best vacation you have had in the past and why you loved it too!  This helps us make recommendations for your package and design an itinerary customized for you!

2.  Review sample vacation packages
After we know more about your family and how you like to vacation, we can give you a quote on a vacation package we think would best suit you. There are many resorts, types of tickets, and other package components to choose from, so we narrow it down to help make your decision easier.

3.  Follow up questions
After reviewing our recommendations, you will likely have questions. That’s why we are here!  We can answer your questions over the phone or via email, and then we can tweak your package if necessary. We want you to have the ideal Walt Disney World Resort package for YOUR family.

4. Select a package and pay a $200 deposit
Once you have decided you are ready to secure your spot, we will need a $200 deposit.
The money will go straight to Disney – we are just the conduit. We can send you an email with a secure web link to collect your traveler and credit card information. We will never ask you to text or email credit card information as that is not secure.

5.  Start the planning: outlining your schedule, dining reservations, online check-in
After booking, we will walk you through the planning steps! There are certain deadlines to meet along the way such as choosing which parks you visit, booking dining reservations, completing online check-in, and more. We have a checklist for each client and we will keep the planning on track.

6.  Get customized itinerary
Before you leave for vacation, we will put a customized itinerary together outlining all of your plans, plus our recommendations for your family. We offer suggestions on snacks in the parks, attractions to prioritize, and other tips for navigating Walt Disney World Resort.  We are happy to schedule a phone call to review all of this information and answer any questions.

7.  Have fun!
This step is the easiest of all! Have a magical vacation! And don’t be shy about sending us a picture or two. We love to hear how your vacation is going!
