How to Choose the Right Travel Agent for a Disney Trip

Planning a Disney vacation is not simple anymore.

Between dining reservations, Lightning Lanes, planning your parks, and all of the resort options, there are a lot of decisions...and the wrong ones can impact your experience.

Choosing the right travel agent can make a huge difference.

Here’s what to look for.

Look for real Disney experience.

Many travel agencies can book your Disney trip, but they may not truly know the destination well. You want someone who will understand:

Park Strategy
Resort Differences
Dining Offerings
Transportation Timing
Crowd Patterns

One signal of experience is whether an agency is recognized by Disney as an EarMarked agency. That said, even within those agencies, quality and experience vary widely - so it’s still important to evaluate the individual agent you’ll be working with. Ask about the planning process.

A travel agent won't be available to you 24/7. But like any professional you choose to work with (accountant, attorney, etc.), they should be able to identify expected turnaround periods, office hours, and/or ways to schedule time to chat if needed.
